The Alumni association of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration (@VOSEKO_alumni) organizes evening lectures to inform graduates about recent developments in business and economics. Tonight, Arne De Keyzer (@arnedekeyzer, see picture to the right) introduces Prof. Dr. Dirk Van den Poel (@dirkvandenpoel, Professor of Business Analytics, see picture below). The Internet of Things (IoT),  Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communications, and Big Data in general are considered top priorities nowadays by CIOs, CMOs, and CEOs. An increasing number of devices is equipped with sensors that are networked with other devices. This will provide huge new opportunities. The talk provides many examples.
